Recent ActivitySchool Counseling Services:
The counseling program at Cedar Bluff Middle School is based on the Tennessee School Counseling Comprehensive model and The American School Counseling Association (ASCA) model. It is designed to promote the academic, career, and personal/social growth of our students through individual and small group counseling and bi-weekly classroom guidance sessions. Parents are welcome to contact Mrs. Domm at 539-7890.Sixth grade classes will review good study skills: organization, time management, listening, note taking, and preparing for tests first semester. Second semester will focus on friendship, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
Seventh grade classes will discuss the Seven Habits of Highly Effective students and will focus on goal setting, decision making, and career exploration.
Eighth grade classes will focus on career exploration, getting ready for high school, and learning about requirements for college. Students will take the Kuder Interest Inventory in December. High school counselors will visit in February. Students will do a presentation on a career in May.

Group Announcements 8th Grade Kuder Interest InventoryThe eighth grade students will take the Kuder Interest Inventory and Skills Assessment in December. Parents are encouraged to look at the results with their student(s) in order to prepare for high school registration. Both the Kuder Interest Inventory and the Explore Test Career Survey will be very helpful in determining the best academy for the student when registering at Hardin Valley Academy.
